We are always excited to take on new and challenging projects. One such venture involved transforming a Chevy Silverado into a high-performance off-road machine. Grab the “oh sh*t” bar and enjoy the ride as we take you on a journey through the custom off-roading modifications of the Night Owl.
- Bolt-on Rear Shock Towers: To improve the truck's off-road capabilities, we installed bolt-on rear shock towers that can accommodate coil-over and bypass shock setups. This modification required precise waterjet cutting and CNC milling from Blue Diamond Fabrication to ensure a perfect fit and optimal performance.
- Fully 3-Linked Rear Suspension: A fully 3-linked rear suspension was installed to provide increased articulation and smooth handling in off-road situations. This allows the Night Owl grip and hug the undulations of desert terrain with superior flex without the need for a panhard bar. This suspension setup required custom fabrication, including waterjet cutting and CNC milling of various suspension components.
- Custom Fabricated 4 9-inch Reach Back End: To accommodate the upgraded suspension and other modifications, we fabricated a custom 4 9-inch reach back end for the Silverado.
- Overland Bed Set Up: An overland bed setup was installed to provide additional storage, functionality, and the perfect perch to catch some of the most scenic off-road adventure sunrises. This included custom-fabricated storage solutions and mounting systems, many of which were created using our CNC milling and waterjet cutting services.
- Mounted One-Piece Fiberglass Hood: To enhance the truck's appearance and reduce weight, we installed a one-piece fiberglass hood. This required precise cutting and finishing to ensure a perfect fit and seamless integration with the rest of the vehicle.
- Rear Fiberglass Hood and Bedsides: In addition to the front hood, we also installed a rear fiberglass hood and bedsides to further reduce weight and improve the truck's overall appearance. These components were mounted with flawless continuation of the original components.
- Built-In Air Compressors and Aluminum Air Tank for ARB Air Lockers: To ensure optimal traction in rock, clay, gravel, sand, snow, or mud, we installed ARB air lockers with built-in air compressors and an aluminum air tank. Even in the harshest environments, the Night Owl will fly forward.
- Long Travel Front Suspension: To further enhance the truck's off-road capabilities, we installed a long-travel front suspension system. This increased the shock reaction time, dampened the harsh jolts, and made for a much more inviting glide over land.
- Beadlock Wheels and Cone Trophy Truck Hubs: To ensure the truck's wheels could withstand the rigors of off-road driving, we installed beadlock wheels and cone trophy truck hubs on both the front and rear axles. These components were custom fabricated using our CNC milling and waterjet cutting services.
- Front and Rear Wilwood Brakes: To improve the truck's stopping power, we installed front and rear Wilwood brakes. These high-performance brake components.
